Iambic Pentameter Couplet
This assignment requirements are that we must retell a well-known fairy tale story. However we must retell it in Iambic Pentameter, so this means that there are 10 syllables that are organized by one unstressed syllable followed by 1 stressed syllable. The poem must be arranged into five rhyming couplets. A couplet is a group of two lines that rhyme at the end. So we must use these guidelines to retell a fairytale.

Rumpelstiltskin
The poor miller gives his daughter to the kings will
With her impossible task he shall kill.

She must spin straw into gold to forgive
Father’s debt she is expected to give.

When a magical man appears to her
He spins golden straw that shall save her father.

For this favor he shall accept no maybe
The pay he seeks is her first baby.

To protect her child and forgive her sin
She must guess the name of Rumpelstiltskim
